Synopses

One line

Every day, a beechwood ball wakes up in its nest on top of a music box, travels through the mechanisms of a workshop of toys made of wood, felt, brass and string, and at sunset rolls back home to sleep.

Short

Kitomo is a 3D animated preschool series told in pictures and sound: the only word is its title. Each episode is a day in a toy workshop. The ball leaves home, visits three corners whose mechanisms are moved by causes you can see and, at sunset, returns to its nest.

Long

Kitomo is a series told in pictures and sound for the very young, created and directed by Mario Hernández. Each episode is a day in the workshop. Morning comes, a breath sets the music box going and the ball sets off on its journey. It visits three new corners, each with a mechanism moved by a cause you can see: the weight of the ball, a string, a lever, a spring. At sunset it returns to its nest and, with its weight, winds the box for the next day. The structure is the same in all 26 episodes, the physics is that of a real table and every material sounds like what it is. A moment of calm and shared attention: six minutes for an adult and a child to watch together how one thing leads to another.
