Accessibility
This website is designed for every family, including autistic people and people with visual, hearing, motor or cognitive disabilities.
How this website works
- Nothing moves or makes a sound until you ask it to.
- At the top there are two buttons: Motion and Sound. Your choice is saved in this browser.
- The website follows your device's reduced‑motion setting.
- Before each video, a guide tells you how long it lasts, what happens and what you will hear.
- Texts are short and clear. Text is in ink colour on light backgrounds, with high contrast.
- You can use the whole site with a keyboard, and it is built for screen readers.
- Buttons are large: at least 44 × 44 pixels.
- The menu is the same on every page, and contact details are always at the bottom.
- You can zoom text up to 200% and everything stays readable.
The episodes
- “Before you watch” guide: on every episode page.
From the premiere on 15 January 2027:
- What happens, in words: a descriptive transcript on the page of every released episode.
- Sound captions: in each video's caption track, following the UNE 153010 standard.
- Audio description: in preparation, following the UNE 153020 standard.
What it meets
Our target is level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, together with the National Autistic Society's accessibility guidelines for autistic people.
Status at 4 October 2026: partially conformant. Known exceptions: the short video on the home page has no audio description in its soundtrack (it has sound captions, a descriptions track and a text description next to the video); the screen reader walkthrough and testing with families are pending.
How we check
- Automatic testing of all 37 pages, on desktop and mobile, with no errors.
- A full walk‑through with the keyboard.
- Testing at 200% zoom, on 320-pixel-wide screens and with reduced motion.
- Pending: a walk‑through with a screen reader (VoiceOver).
